I like to begin class with a Q/A. A Q/A is a question or an idea to be explored. Here is an example:
Q/A: Attract what you expect. Reflect what you desire. Become what you respect. Mirror what you admire. Analyze the statement and explain how you Attract, Reflect, Become and Mirror.
Attract what you expect—— The law of attraction states we attract into our lives the things/people that we want. Kind people attract kind people. Insecure people attract insecure people and so it goes. Example: When I see people I smile. Most of the time people respond with a smile, which is the first step to getting to know someone.
Reflect what you desire—- Be the person you want to attract in your life. In other words: Are you the person, the person you are looking for, is looking for? You desire a type of person. What kind of person would that person be looking for?
Become what you respect—-We all have a mentor or someone we would like to be like. Copy their example.
Mirror what you admire —-You take on the characteristics of the one you admire.
TEACHER NOTES:
Law of Attraction—everything that happens to you (good or bad), you are attracting to yourself. The energy you put out will come back to you. In other words, we create our lives. The law of attraction can work positively or negatively.
Want is defined/ based on what we are thinking and feeling.
2. The choices we make are fueled by our thoughts. So our thoughts are the
most important things we have.
3. The thoughts we think, the images we see, the things we focus on, what we
give our attention to, all affect how we feel. We share these feelings.
Anything vibrating at the same level gets attracted to our life.
4. Most people focus on their current reality. For example: I’m unhappy, I hate
math, I like boys-aren’t they cute, My life is a nightmare. The more we
focus and talk about our issues, the more we attract that feeling.
5. What you focus on/give your attention to—expands or gets bigger. It’s not the
thoughts, it’s the feelings the thoughts generate. What comes into your life
will match your feelings.
6. Thoughts, feelings, and actions have to be firing in the same direction for you
to get what you want. If you are not getting what you want, you will notice one of the 3 are
missing.
7. We have to guard our thoughts!
Example:
Thought: I weigh too much for my height?
What should I focus on, my weight or my desire to make healthy choices?
